Flexili was created by Dr David Rosenstein, a Clinical Psychologist and behavioural therapist based in South Africa. The platform originated as a passion project to support his own clinical work and to extend evidence-based behavioural care into the broader community, particularly for neurodivergent individuals and others seeking practical support for psychological wellbeing.
Flexili was developed from the belief that technology can increase access to high-quality mental health support while remaining firmly grounded in established psychological science. As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated into healthcare, it is important that these technologies are developed by clinicians who understand both the potential benefits and the ethical responsibilities involved in their use.
Our goal is not simply to build an AI application, but to contribute to a model of digital mental health that is clinically responsible, scientifically informed, ethically grounded, and respectful of the therapeutic relationship.
Flexili was designed and developed with the assistance of large language model (LLM) technology, particularly Claude, which supported aspects of software development, documentation, interface design, and implementation.
While AI tools assisted in the development process, the clinical framework, behavioural principles, therapeutic processes, assessment structure, and overall design philosophy were developed and directed by Dr David Rosenstein. Clinical judgement and evidence-based behavioural science remain central to the platform.
Flexili is designed to support psychological wellbeing through behavioural science and evidence-based practice. The platform is intended to complement, not replace, professional mental healthcare. It provides structured wellbeing support, behavioural exercises, monitoring, and psychological tools informed by contemporary behavioural therapies and contextual behavioural science.

Respecting your privacy is one of our highest priorities. Flexili is intentionally designed to minimise the collection of personally identifiable information wherever possible. We do not sell personal information, marketing profiles, or behavioural data to third parties.
Private conversations between users and Flexili are not recorded or retained beyond what is necessary for the functioning of the platform. We do not use confidential therapeutic conversations to train public artificial intelligence models.
Information such as names, telephone numbers, or other directly identifying personal information is never shared with external organisations for advertising, marketing, or commercial purposes.
Where information must be processed in order for the platform to function, it is handled using appropriate security measures designed to protect confidentiality and user privacy.
